An Evening With Dato' Ambiga Srineevasan

Dato' Ambiga Sreenevasan is one of recipient of USA Secretary of State's Award for International Women of Courage Award (USA) at USA State Department office on 11/March/2009 in Washington DC. This award were given to eight women whom have shown leadership while struggling for Social Justice and Human Rights.
Dato Ambiga Sreenevasan also will deliver a talk on "The Free Society, Perception and Progress".
Note: Dinner will be served.

An Evening With Writers
PICC will be hosting 'An Evening With The Writers' on 26'April/2009, from 4pm - 6pm at Tower Regency Hotel, Ipoh. Attendance by ticket RM70. The price is included purchase of a copy 'Malaysia Indians - Towards A New Paradigm' either in Tamil or English.
The author Mr.Kalaimuthu us a member of PICC and we support the book based on the nature of the contents. The writer isolated issues that the Indians are concerned about and gives us insight into them. The writer makes a case for reassessing our socio-economic status to redefine the direction of Indian's future.
Our Guest of Honour, Dato' Edmund Santhara will indeed talk on the 'Future of Indian Business in the 21st Century'.

PICC Network Evening With Perak Indian Business Community 11/Apr/2009
PICC will be organising a Network Evening on 11th April 2009, from 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. at the Ipoh City and Country club(ICC), Ipoh. This event will be an opportunity for Perak Indian Business community to meet in an informal atmosphere and to create market for their businesses.
The function is the first of such kind being organized by PICC to create market for the businesses of Indian business community in Perak. It is open for Members , NON Members, Insurance Agents and those who have interest in starting a business. Everybody has the opportunity to meet each other and discuss about their businesses in order to develop their businesses.
Come and join us for a friendly evening of food and drink, a meeting old and new friends and of course networking opportunities.

Dialogue Session with CEO, Pantai Puteri Hospital
He also offered special discount to the PICC members, family members and to the employees but subjected to further discussion between PICC and Pantai Puteri Hospital.

The tour was 3 Days and 2 Nights stays with all cost bared by the Chamber and the students were given RM25/ as a pocket money and to the teachers RM50.The students toured various palces in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor and in particular for the first time Tamil school students had opportunity to visit Proton Plant in Tanjung Malim.
This project is part of our Chamber's Corporate Social Responsibility to our community.

Indians Crime Rate
Dear members, I've attended "Community Policing" meeting with our Perak police personnel chaired by our Perak Police Chief. The police raised concern on our Indian crime rate in Perak, particularly in Ipoh, Taiping, Manjung and Hilir Perak. They need our feedback to assist them to bring down Indians' crime rate. Kindly provide your feedbacks.
